Updated Concert Information

Hello! There have been a lot of updates in the performance schedule over the past few weeks. I wanted to make sure everyone received this information before our April BPA Meeting on 4/13. All of these new dates have been updated on website calendar. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Concert Band & Wind Ensemble

  • Spring Band & Choir Concert on Wednesday, May 26th (outside) (This event cancelled)

  • VPA Festival Concert on Thursday, May 20th

    • Rain Date on Friday, May 21st - Everything will be held outside in the theater parking lot. Don't forget to bring a folding chair unless you want to stand all night!

    • Tentative Schedule:

      • 5pm, MS & HS Choirs

      • 6pm, HS Dance

      • 7pm, HS Acting

      • 7:30pm, MS & HS Bands

      • *My expectation is that all Band students are in attendance for the ENTIRE FESTIVAL. We need to continue to support the other Visual and Performing Arts departments.

    • What are we performing?

      • Wind Ensemble

      • Concert Band

      • Jazz Ensemble, 1 piece

      • Chamber Music

        • Brass Quintet

        • Woodwind Quintet

        • 2 Duets

      • Indoor Percussion Ensemble, 1 piece

    • Concert Dress

      • Option 1: ALL BLACK - Black blouse or dress top, ¾ sleeve length or longer. Full-length black skirt or full cut loose-fitting slacks. Black dress shoes and black hosiery.

      • Option 2: ALL BLACK - Black dress shoes (no sneakers!), long black socks, black dress pants, black belt, and a black button down dress shirt. A black undershirt is preferred, especially if you are not wearing a tie. Black jacket and/or black tie optional. (No grey or dark blue.)

      • Wind Ensemble members can wear tuxes and gowns if they have them.

      • Do not wear jeans, sneakers, polo shirts, or white socks. All concert dress items must be dress code approved. If you are not sure if your clothes are appropriate, ask in advance. Students who are not dressed properly will not be allowed to perform and you will need to complete an Alternate Assignment

    • Students in Wind Ensemble and Concert Band that are currently fully virtual may perform with the ensemble in person on the day of the concert, but need to contact Mr. Kuntz by Wednesday, May 12th

    • This performance will count as a grade for the 4th Marking Period. Students that can not (or do not) attend this festival will have to complete an alternate assignment.

    • This is also a fantastic recruitment opportunity since the middle school students will be in attendance!
