9/24 - 9/28 Weekly Schedule

This week’s rehearsals

- Tuesday, 9/24 - Rehearsal (6pm - 9pm, 5:15pm report)

- Thursday, 9/26 - Rehearsal (6pm - 9pm, 5:15pm report)



Friday, 9/27 - Away Football Game at Washington Township HS (529 Hurffville - Cross Keys Rd #2831, Sewell, NJ 08080)

*Wear your blue member shirt. Eat dinner before you arrive, you will not be able to eat a snack until halftime.

- 5pm, Report to HS to practice new/more difficult pep tunes

- 5:40pm, Load Equipment onto Pick Up Truck and Buses

- Students may stay after school in the Band room if they can't get a ride to the HS in time.

- 6pm - Depart on WHS Buses (20 min bus ride)

- 6:20pm - Arrive at Washington Township

- 7pm - Game Starts

- Halftime - We will watch Washington Township's Band perform, then students will be allowed to use the bathrooms and eat a snack provided by the Band Parents.

- 9:30pm – Approximate game end

- 9:45pm – Depart Washington Township HS

- 10:05pm – Approximate Return to WHS

- 10:15pm - Approximate Dismissal (after clean up)



Saturday, 9/28 - Home Show Competition!

- 8:45am - Report to High School for attendance. (Wear your tour shirt)

- Gather all equipment and uniforms needed for the entire day. Please be prepared with back ups of certain items. We will not be returning to the High School until the end of the night

- Pit Crew: Load up the trailer bed and drive everything over to the Middle School Gym. We will need to take 2 trips. The BPA will be using one of the trailer beds and the golf cart throughout the day.

- Prop Crew: Drop off your stuff at the Middle School Gym. Then go back to the blue trailer and put together the props. Bring the props over to the Middle School Gym.

- Color Guard: Drop off your stuff at the Middle School Gym and change into your uniforms for pictures.

- Everyone Else: Drop your stuff off at the Middle School Gym. Then go back to the stadium to assist with cleaning up around the stadium (if needed, bleachers, concessions...etc.).

- 10:10am - Winds and Percussion change into uniforms

- 10:30am - Group/Individual Photos in Uniform in the Middle School Gym. Everyone will take photos. Ordering and purchasing photos are optional.

- 11:15am - Lunch

- The BPA will provide pizza for all of the students and staff. If you do not want to eat pizza, please bring a lunch.

- 12pm - NJMBDA Show Begins

- 12:15pm - Bathrooms and Travel to Warm Up Area

- 12:35pm - Visual & Music Warm Up

- 2pm - NJMBDA Performance

- 2:30pm - NJMBDA Awards


- After NJMBDA Awards

- Store all instruments, equipment, and props back at the Middle School gym

- Change out of uniforms. Keep your tour shirts on.

- Discuss performance as a group.

- Watch 1st performance in Middle School Band Room? (TBD)

- Assist with cleaning around the stadium

- Students may purchase concessions or can eat a snack brought from home.

- Students are not allowed to leave the school. Students should not hang out in the Middle School gym without supervision.


- 4:45pm - TOB Show Begins

- All students should be in the stands watching the first few bands perform, unless you're hosting. Students are not allowed to leave the school. Students should not hang out in the Middle School gym without supervision.

- Dinner - The BPA will provide concession stand meal vouchers (meal item, chips, drink) for all students and staff. Keep in mind there could be long concession stand lines! This is not an excuse to be late to attendance report.

- Winslow is the last band students can watch (ends around 6:40pm)

- 6:50pm - Attendance Report in the Middle School Gym

- Use Bathrooms, change into uniforms and travel to Warm Up Area

- 7:25pm - Visual & Music Warm Up

- 8:40pm - TOB Performance

- After the performance:

- Move props to the blue trailer. Don't deconstruct them until after awards

- Move all pit equipment to the corner of the track where we keep the trailer bed.

- 9pm - TOB Awards


- After TOB Awards all students will walk back to the Middle School Gym

- Discuss performance as a group.

- Pack up instruments, Change out of uniforms, Use bathrooms, Collect all belongings (make sure the Middle School Gym is clean when we leave)

- Walk back to the stadium to assist with clean up. Students can drop off their belongings on the track, along the fence.

- Pit Crew: Load up the trailer bed and drive everything back to the High School. We may need to take 2 trips if the BPA is still using the golf cart.

- Prop Crew: Take apart the props. Then return to the stadium to assist with clean up.

- Everyone Else: Assist with cleaning up around the stadium (if needed, bleachers, concessions...etc.).

- Walk back to the High School when finished.

- 10:30pm - Approx pick up at High School after clean up

Upcoming rehearsals and performances

- High School Back to School Night

- Friday, 10/4 - Home Football Game vs Rancocas Valley HS (Homecoming - Game starts at 7pm, Report time TBD. We will be performing before the game starts).

- Saturday, 10/5 - Competition at Millville HS (Day Show - Schedule Coming Soon)

- Students attending the Homecoming Dance will perform at Millville and can either get picked up from Millville or ride the bus home after awards.

- This is also an SAT date. Please let Mr. Kuntz know asap if you're planning on taking the SATs on this date.
