This week’s rehearsals
Tuesday, 9/23 - Rehearsal (5:15pm - 9:15pm, doors open at 4pm)
Thursday, 9/25 - Rehearsal (5:15pm - 9:15pm, doors open at 4pm)
Friday, 9/26 - Home Football Game vs Washington Township HS Timber Creek HS
*Wear your blue member shirt (you will need to wear it under your uniform). Eat dinner before you arrive, you will not be able to eat a snack until after your halftime performance.
4:50pm - Everyone Report to HS
Pit and Pit Crew will load the trailer immediately after attendance
If you're not on Pit Crew:
Winds and Perc: Retrieve your uniform from the uniform closet. Drape it on one of the chairs in the Band room. Then rehearse the new/updated pep tunes.
Color Guard should change into uniforms.
5:10pm - Rehearse Pep Tunes
5:55pm - Bathrooms and Change into Uniforms
6:15pm - Depart for Stadium
Unload the pit trailers
Retrieve podium and props from trailers (weather depending) (parents usually unload earlier)
6:30pm - Set up in the stands
Battery will lead our football team onto the field.
7pm - Game Starts
Halftime performance!
3rd quarter (after performance), students will be given pretzels and water provided by the Band Parents and will be allowed to use the bathrooms. Students will be able to visit with the visiting school's band.
9:30pm – Approximate game end
9:45pm – Approximate Return to WHS
10pm - Approximate Dismissal (after clean up)
Saturday, 9/27 - Home Show Competition!
10:15am - Report to High School for attendance. (Wear your purple tour shirt)
Gather all equipment and uniforms needed for the entire day. Please be prepared with back ups of certain items. We will not be returning to the High School until the end of the night
Pit Crew: Load up the trailer bed and drive everything over to the Middle School Gym. We may need to take 2 trips. The BPA will be using one of the trailer beds and the golf cart throughout the day so we need to use the tractor.
Prop Crew: Drop off your stuff at the Middle School Gym. Then go back to the blue and white trailers and put together the props. Store the props neatly near our trailers. (We will bring the props over to the Middle School Gym if the weather is bad).
Color Guard: Drop off your stuff at the Middle School Gym and change into your uniforms for pictures.
Everyone Else: Drop your stuff off at the Middle School Gym. Then go back to the stadium to assist with cleaning up around the stadium (if needed, bleachers, concessions...etc. due to the football game the night before).
11:40am - Winds and Percussion change into uniforms
12pm - Group/Individual Photos in Uniform in the Middle School Gym. Everyone will take photos. Ordering and purchasing photos are optional.

12:45pm - Lunch
The BPA will provide pizza for all of the students and staff. If you do not want to eat pizza, please bring a lunch.
1:30pm - NJMBDA Show Begins
1:45pm - Bathrooms and Travel to Warm Up Area
2:05pm - Visual & Music Warm Up
3:30pm - NJMBDA Performance
4pm - NJMBDA Awards
After NJMBDA Awards
Store all instruments and equipment back at the Middle School gym.
Change out of uniforms. Keep your tour shirts on.
Discuss performance as a group.
Watch 1st performance in Middle School Band Room? (TBD)
Assist with cleaning around the stadium (if needed)
Students are not allowed to leave the school. Students should not hang out in the Middle School gym without supervision.
5:15pm - TOB Show Begins
All students should be in the stands watching the first few bands perform, unless you're hosting. Students should not hang out in the Middle School gym without supervision.
Dinner - The BPA will provide concession stand meal voucher wristbands (a burger or two hot dogs + chips + a drink) for all students and staff. Keep in mind there could be long concession stand lines! This is not an excuse to be late to attendance report. Eat early enough to let your food digest! Any additional food/snacks/drinks can be purchased.
Cherry Hill East is the last band students can watch (ends around 7pm)
7pm - Attendance Report in the Middle School Gym
Use Bathrooms, change into uniforms and travel to Warm Up Area
7:30pm - Visual & Music Warm Up
8:45pm - TOB Performance
After the performance:
Move props to the blue and white trailers. Don't deconstruct them until after awards (unless there are parents to assist).
Move all pit equipment to the corner of the track where we keep the trailer bed.
All students will stand in a line along the side 1 goal line during awards.
9:15pm - TOB Awards
After TOB Awards all students will walk back to the Middle School Gym
Discuss performance as a group.
Pack up instruments, Change out of uniforms, Use bathrooms, Collect all belongings (make sure the Middle School Gym is clean when we leave)
Walk back to the stadium to assist with clean up. Students can drop off their belongings on the track, along the fence.
Pit Crew: Load up the trailer bed and drive everything back to the High School. We may need to take 2 trips if the BPA is still using the golf cart.
Prop Crew: Take apart the props. Then return to the stadium to assist with clean up.
Everyone Else: Assist with cleaning up around the stadium (if needed, bleachers, concessions...etc.)
Visit concessions to eat leftover food
Walk back to the High School when finished.
10:30pm - Approx pick up at High School after clean up
Students take home uniforms to be washed. Uniform Washing and Drying Instructions
