On May 18th the WHS Marching Band will be holding a Marching Band Interest Rehearsal outside from 3:30pm - 5:30pm at Williamstown Middle School (the students can go to the Middle School Band room right after school).
This event is for current 7th and 8th graders and any high school students interested in joining Marching Band this upcoming June.
*Students that are in Dance, Choir, Piano class, Acting…etc. make great color guard and front ensemble percussion members! No experience needed! Bring your friends!
Activities that will take place at this event:
- Winds & Percussion will play Warm Up Exercises and Stand Music (music played in the football stands)
- Winds & Battery will learn simple marching technique
- Color Guard will learn how to spin a flag
*The entire rehearsal will take place outside, so please keep in mind the weather (binder with plastic sleeves for music, sneakers, sunscreen, a sweatshirt/jacket if it's cold/rainy. If the rain gets too bad, we can move inside).
Students don’t have to 100% commit to Marching Band if they show up to this interest rehearsal. They can try it out before they decide to join!
