This week’s rehearsals

• Tuesday, 10/28 - Rehearsal (5:15pm - 9:15pm, doors open at 4pm)

• Thursday, 10/30 - Rehearsal (5:15pm - 9:15pm, doors open at 4pm)

Friday, 10/31 - Away Playoff Football Game at Southern Regional HS (90 Cedar Bridge Rd, Stafford Township, NJ 08050)

• You are allowed to wear a costume or your blue polo/member shirt. Make sure you check the weather!

• Eat dinner before you arrive, you will not be able to eat a snack until halftime.

• 4pm - Report to HS, Load Equipment onto Pick Up Truck and Buses. Use bathrooms before we depart.

  • Students are allowed to stay in the Band room after school. Please contact Mr. Kuntz if you are unable to make it to report on time. We will not be able to wait for students that arrive late.

• 4:15pm - Depart on WHS Buses (1hr 15min bus ride)

• 5:30pm - Arrive at Southern Regional HS

• 6pm - Game Starts

• Halftime - We will watch Southern Regional's Band perform, then students will be allowed to use the bathrooms and eat a snack provided by the Band Parents.

• 8:30pm – Approximate game end

• 8:45pm – Depart Southern Regional HS

• 10pm – Approximate Return to WHS

• 10:15pm - Approximate Dismissal (after clean up)

Saturday, 11/1 - Rehearsal & Send Off Performance

• 9:30am - Report to Band Room for Senior Speeches, Slideshow, and Group Activities

  • Seniors, please plan out what you'd like to say! Each Senior will have up to 5 minutes to speak. You don't have to use all of the time. (If all 10 Seniors take 5 minutes to speak, speeches will last for about 50 minutes...).

• 11:45am - Lunch. The Band Parents will be providing lunch for the students (Thank you Band Parents!)

• 12:45pm - Load trailers, walk out to stadium, and set up props and equipment

  • Bring cases and anything else we need to pack at the end of the day.

• 1:30pm - Rehearsal

• 3:30pm - Snack Break & Change into uniforms

• 4pm - Parent Send Off Performance

• 4:15pm - Group Photos in Uniform with Props

• 4:30pm - Pack everything for the following day.

Sunday, 11/2, NJMBDA State Championships (the Final Competition of the season!) (The College of New Jersey, 2000 Pennington Rd, Ewing Township, NJ 08618)

  • We especially need help from non-senior parents to ensure that senior parents can enjoy their child's last Marching Band competition!

  • Prop and Instrument Pushing/ Set up Help

    • Possibly holding props on the field during the performance (if windy)

  • A Volunteer to Record our final performance in the stands. Please contact Mr. Kuntz ASAP

• 7:30am - Doors open

• 7:50am - Report, uniform check, and use bathrooms before we leave.

• 8:10am - Depart WHS (1hr 30min bus ride)

• 9:40am - Arrive at TCNJ

  • Use the bathrooms and eat breakfast in the student center. The Band Parents will provide breakfast sandwiches. (Thank you Band Parents!)

• 10:35am - Walk back to the buses to change into uniforms

• 10:55am - Unpack the trucks

• 11:40am - Visual & Music Warm Up

• 1:10pm - Williamstown performance

  • Tickets for Championships can only be purchased in advance. Tickets will not be sold at the door. Tickets can be purchased online on the day of the event, but there will be no cash handling or kiosks at TCNJ. Click on this link to purchase tickets.

    • All sales are final and are not refundable.

  • After our performance students will change out of uniforms and have the opportunity to purchase concessions (most likely cash only).

• 2:55pm - Awards

• 3:55pm - Approximate awards ends.

• 4:30pm - Load Buses and return home

• 6pm - Approximate Return to WHS

• 6:30pm - Approximate Dismissal (after clean up)

  • Students will bring home uniforms to be washed. Uniforms can be returned during one of the Christmas parade rehearsals. Uniform Washing & Drying Instructions.

The Fun Doesn't Stop When Marching Band Ends!

• Monday, 11/10 - Jazz Ensemble, Indoor Percussion and Indoor Color Guard Interest Meetings in High School Band Room

  • 2:30pm - Jazz Ensemble (WHS students only)

  • 6pm - Indoor Color Guard (WHS, WMS, and GCIT students welcome)

  • 7:30pm - Indoor Percussion (WHS, WMS, and GCIT students welcome)

  • Show themes will be announced, rehearsal and performance calendars distributed, and questions answered! More information coming soon!

  • Indoor Percussion & Indoor Color Guard: It is mandatory for a parent to attend this meeting. There is a lot of information that everyone should hear before agreeing to join either of these groups. If a parent is unable to attend, please reach out to Mr. Kuntz asap.
